This game is suitable for children who can recognize the Arabic letters in their isolated and disjointed forms and probably know a few Arabic words. Children who recognize the isolated forms only can also learn the disjointed forms using the laminated alphabet cards.
To help your child recognize the Arabic alphabets (in their isolated forms), these puzzles are great for both recognition, cognitive skills and lots more. You can get it here.
How to use:
- This file has two sections; the alphabet card pages and the picture card pages. Print out all pages on A4 papers
-
Laminate. If you don’t have access to a laminator, you can follow the steps after these guidelines for easy way to do it at home.
-
Then cut out all letters. Cut on the lines.
-
The words below each picture suggestion is for the use of the adult guide. Cut them out and keep them with you away from the child(ren). The pictures are enough suggestion for the kids to form words with.
-
Your child can sort the cards into their starting, middle and ending forms and store separately in small boxes, pouches or basket.
Easy way to Laminate at Home without a Laminator Using Just Three Items
What you need:
An electric iron
A piece of cloth
Laminating films (available in bookshops)
Procedures:
- Plug the iron and set to high
- Position the paper you want laminated in the laminating film and place on the ironing board.
- Place a piece of cloth over the paper sandwiched film, covering all the area you want laminated. Preferrably use a cotton cloth, so it can resist the high heat without burning.
In the picture below, I used an old t-shirt.
- Then press the iron over the cloth just like you do when ironing. Only you have to press very firmly while smoothing it out, so there’s no folded or empty spaces.
Voila!
Just pull the cloth off and there you have your laminated paper without stepping out of your house. Isn’t that awemazing? 😉
If the film doesn’t stick well, iron over it again, even if you’ve cut out the cards. Simple, innit?
Have lots of fun forming words and learning Arabic!
